"Fox Hunt" by Ryan Musselman

My son Ryan's painting of an early morning fox hunt.

"We sit down before the picture in order to have something done to us, not that we may do things with it. The first demand any work of art makes upon us is surrender. Look. Listen. Receive. Get yourself out of the way."

- C.S. Lewis, An Experiment in Criticism

Good morning John, this painting is stunning. I love the quote with it! The site is set up well (though I'm not familiar with the blogging culture!) I'll check in now and then. Hope you are well, Charlene

What a fantasic summary by C.S.!

These riders aren't going out for a casual hunt in the fields. They are going to battle - and they feel the solemness of their ride.
